Tip to Tip Tour
Confederation Trail
This 273 km (170 mi) route traverses the Island on the award-winning Confederation Trail.
The Confederation Trail is a walking and cycling trail that offers a comfortable introduction to gravel riding with its smooth crushed-gravel surface. As a rail trail, it is relatively flat with gradients that never exceed 2%. This tour features the scenic Morell to St. Peters Bay section, where the trail is runs parallel to the water offering spectular views of the Bay and the mussel farming within it.
The Confederation Trail starts in Tignish and ends in Elmira. If you want to make your tour a true Tip to Tip Tour, then we can add on two sections of quiet country pavement so that you start in North Cape and end in East Point for a total distance of 300 km.
Potential add-ons include visits to Basin Head and its famous white "singing sands", Greenwich in PEI National Park with its parabolic sand dunes, or Souris, a friendly, bustling seaside town.
